I have tried the masters touch ( hobby lobby brand I believe ) water color paper, it's really cheap, not that bad though

Just a note on canson mixed media paper. It buckles a lot if you use any moisture. I really recommend strathmore mixed media paper. It is a littlle heavier and what little bending you do get flattens out well when you close up your book again. If you know you want to regularly use a lot of moisture like watercolors, spray inks, and the like, watercolor paper is best but a little more expensive. 🙂

I know this video was about OT but muchaels sells the canson mixed media pads and often they are buy one get one free. I use this paper as my go to basic white causes it is smooth and durable.

I found the Canson Mixed Media paper at Walmart. They actually do have some good art supplies, though I've found that their paint brushes are JUNK. 😉

Just discovered the Canson mixed media journals too, love it, love you and thanks for sharing, Kat

I love the Canson brand journals. I get the watercolor paper journals (140lb) with the teal cover because then I don't have to worry about switching books when I want to use watercolor. I figure paying the extra money on paper is a better investment than buying three kinds of watercolor pencils, etc. Of course, no judgement for those people that do that…it just doesn't fit into my budget at the moment. Lindsay, I am very excited for this new series!

I just ordered the Dr. PH Martin Liquid Artist's Quality Watercolors yesterday.  They look the same, but are translucent.  Wonder if I can use them instead of the India Inks for whatever you do with them.  What is India Ink?  It's opaque, right?  I wanted to put the watercolors in bottles with water, and spritz them.  Any ideas?  OOXXOO Linda
