Jewelers Trade Shop Commercial

This spot was done for a local high end retail store in Pensacola Florida. After talking with JTS(the store), I developed the script, directed and produced, and Jamie Anderson shot the video. Special thanks to Matt Mills for being our muscle and grip on this project. I also completed the post production, voice over and music production. Jamie and I were very excited with the outcome, and JTS was thrilled with the final. This is my first TV spot, but hopefully there will be many more!

First premiere of this groups concert will be live on London Metal Exchange week. After this premiere there will be some concerts in İstanbul, Shanghai and Almaty in 2018. All proceeds of the concerts will be donated to Unicef.

Since we had little to no budget for this music video, we decided to shoot when we had free time and when the sun was shinning. We developed the storyline and concept from the bottom up and worked closely with the band. From the start of the project we wanted to create a spaghetti western but with a “voodoo slash cult feel to it”. Concerning production and post-production we kept it simple and tried to be as creative as possible with the means that we had.

“Ilich is investigating creative practices in virtual community investment banking. Globalized capitalist markets use finance as a means to extract surplus and value from localized world production – relying on networks of power to do so. But finance can also be reversed engineered so that it becomes the seed for new forms of cooperation, collaboration and socialization, drawing on and building networks through virtual communities. Used creatively, finance can actually further the prosperity and efficacy of minority reports, marginal narratives, alternate commodity markets, social currencies, hacktivism and other activist practices, as well as strengthen the hope of sustainability in creative digital labor and internet production practices.“ (text via eyebeam)
