The improvements throughout the bidding race to Oslo Bors continue to accumulate. Nasdaq Inc (NASDAQ:NDAQ) announces now that it, through a connected entity, has purchased 844,071 stocks in Oslo Børs VPS.

The Supply of Nasdaq has been recommended by the Board of Oslo Børs VPS. Moreover, investors representing over one-third of those shares in Oslo Børs VPS, including the two largest shareholders in Oslo Børs VPS and its President and Chief Executive Officer, have recently reaffirmed their support to the Offer as the ideal alternative for Oslo Børs VPS and the Norwegian capital market.
The purchases are produced in accordance with the terms of the deal as summarized on February 4, 2019, as amended by announcements on March 4 and March 25, 2019. As a result equivalent to the Offer Price stocks are owned by Nasdaq or so are subject to pre-commitments to take the Offer.
Nasdaq is in a bidding race with Euronext within Oslo Bors’ acquisition. Euronext awaits final approval from the Ministry of Finance which is the last requirement .
Nasdaq notes that the recommendation to the Ministry of Finance by the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway to accept Nasdaq was declared.
