In this video, Prof. Patterson walks through the process of making an app for iOS (iPad/iPhone, etc) that will convert an amount in dollars to an amount in another currency. This is designed to be a tutorial for learning how to make an app from end to end. It is built on a Macbook Pro with Xcode 8.3.2 using Objective-C.
The technologies addressed along the way include Cocoapods, NSAppTransportSecurity, U/I constraints, binding U/I elements to properties and binding event to callbacks. The Cocoapod that is used is called CurrencyRequest and gathers real-time exchange rates from the European Central Bank.
